Symptoms

Using the Chrome browser to send forum messages, attempting to disallow files of type '.exe' does not work. The files can still be attached to messages.
In the forum administration screen, a 'block' is set to prevent .exe files being attached to messages.
This is done using 'application/octet-stream' file type to 'Disallowed' under Settings -> Messages -> Attachment Settings .

This does not work in Chrome - .exe files can still be attached.
The settings work as expected in FF & IE - the expected message is seen 'The content type of the file 'filename.exe' is not allowed.
The settings also work in all browsers (Chrome, FF & IE) for blocking other attachment filetypes (e.g. .pdf).
