UCM LBR Steps Incorrect in Oracle Webcenter Enterprise Deployment Guide
(Doc ID 1266206.1)
Last updated on JULY 10, 2023
Applies to:
Oracle WebCenter Portal - Version 11.1.1.3.0 to 11.1.1.3.0 [Release 11g]Information in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
The documentation steps in the WebCenter Enterprise Deployment Guide are referring to incorrect sections of the config.cfg file.
Section: 9.7.2 Configuring the Load Balancer
Step 2a) Currently reads as:
Reconfigure Oracle HTTP Server and Content Server.
Oracle HTTP Server and Content Server both must be reconfigured to support the new virtual address.
a) On the Content Server machine (WCHOST1), in the file <content_server_dir>/config/config.cfg, replace the two occurrences of WCHOST1 (under @Properties LocalData and @ResultSet ProxiedServers) with the virtual host name <VIRTUAL_HOST>.<DOMAIN>.com.
Ensure that the LBR IP address is added to "SocketHostAddressSecurityFilter".
b) Restart the Content Server server.
c) Copy the SecurityInfo.hda file to the same directory on the Oracle HTTP Server host. This should overwrite the copy of the file already there.

The issues are:
1. The two sections @Properties LocalData and @ResultSet ProxiedServers do not exist in the file
2. The SecurityInfo.hda file is not copied to the HTTP Server, it is referenced internally for UCM so it does not need to be moved or copied manually.
