In some cases, you may want to run a portlet as a job in order to cache portlet content. (For example, this would be done in cases where a portlet takes a longer time to render than what is desirable.) This process creates a snapshot of the portlet content, in the form of an HTML file, that can then be viewed on a web site. However, in Oracle WebCenter Interaction 10.3.0.0 and 10.3.0.1, when you run a job to cache portlet content, the job will fail, the cache content does not get created, and you observe in the job log a stack trace similar to the following:
