Why Does Delete Date Not Appear In The Trash View for Folders?

Goal
The trash delete date is not being displayed in the view of the Trash folder as displayed in browser. On page A-10 of the Folders and WebDAV Installation Guide it states:
The CollectionTrashDeleteDate setting defines a date metadata field for the Trash function, which enables the deletion date and time to be recorded as metadata for items that are moved to the Trash folder. If this variable is set, the deletion date and time are displayed in the Trash folder.
All the correct values have been configured, but the delete timestamp in the Trash view does not show up. However, when the DOC_INFO button is clicked for a given item, its individual timestamp will show up. Why is the value shown in DOC_INFO, but not in the Trash view?
