SSL Issues When Invoking Remote JAX-WS Webservice From Client On Weblogic Server (Doc ID 1275012.1)

Symptoms

You will see the below exception when trying to call a web service method from Third party client:

javax.xml.ws.WebServiceException: javax.net.ssl.SSLKeyException: [Security:090550]The certificate chain received from oracle.bea.com - xxxx.xxxx.xxxx.xxxx contained a V3 CA certificate which indicated a certificate chain path length in the basic constraints that was exceeded.



Trying to fix the issue with the below options will also not help:

-Dweblogic.wsee.client.ssl.stricthostchecking=false
-Dweblogic.security.SSL.ignoreHostnameVerification=true
-Dweblogic.security.SSL.allowSmallRSAExponent=true
-Dweblogic.security.SSL.enforceConstraints=off
