WebLogic Server (WLS) 10.3.x - Unable to Connect to IBM MQ from WebLogic JMS Using 2-Way SSL (Doc ID 1275585.1)

Symptoms

In WebLogic Server (WLS) 10.3 and later releases, there is an issue with two-way SSL between the IBM MQ and WebLogic JMS Foreign Server. SSL configuration has been set up on both sides, however, the connection from WebLogic JMS to IBM MQ was failing with this exception (among others):

Nested exception: com.ibm.mqservices.MQInternalException: MQJE001: An MQException occurred: Completion Code 2, Reason 2009
MQJE016: MQ queue manager closed channel immediately during connect
Closure reason = 2009.

Below is exception thrown on IBM MQ side at the time of the issue saying channel is lacking certificate.
