Symptoms

After global inactivity timeout (GITO) has been enabled in Oracle Portal 11.1.1.x, the access onto the underlying objects in a page group or throughout the Portal fails. When clicking on any Portal 11g link, a redirection to the Portal Welcome Page occurs instead of seeing the desired behavior.
