WebLogic Server Does Not Create Domain in Alternate Directory Set with setOption('AppDir', '<path>') (Doc ID 1280566.1)

Symptoms

setOption is a WLST offline command which sets options related to a WebLogic domain creation or update. After creating a WebLogic Server domain using the setOption('AppDir', '<path>') command in order to set the path where all the applications should be stored, the applications are still stored in the default location i.e., ${ORA_HOME}/user_projects/applications.
