Kerberos Timeout Authentication Error in JDK 1.6.0_20 or Higher (Doc ID 1282472.1)

Symptoms

After upgrading the JVM to 1.6.0_20 or above (either Sun HotSpot or JRockit), authorized Kerberos users receive an authentication error. The error message log says something like:

[Krb5LoginModule] authentication failed
Receive timed out
...
<Debug> <SecurityAtn> <BEA-000000> <Exception com.bea.common.security.internal.utils.negotiate.NegotiateTokenException: GSSException: No valid credentials provided (Mechanism level: Attempt to obtain new ACCEPT credentials failed!)
