Unable to Grant Access for Local Providers whose Owner Is Portal_public (Doc ID 1282634.1)

Symptoms


After 10.1.2.0.3 upgrade (Oracle Portal Version 10.1.4.2.0 ), unable to grant access for any provider owned by PORTAL_PUBLIC. Not having problem for providers owned by PORTAL or PORTAL_DEMO.

When trying to grant access of the provider, the browser displays:

Error
Internal error (WWC-00006)
Unexpected error - User-Defined Exception (WWC-35000)
Unexpected error - User-Defined Exception (WWC-35000)


The following error also happens doing the following:

  1. Go to Providers > Locally Built Providers
  2. Create a new Database Provider
  3. In "Portal DB Provider Schema", select PORTAL_PUBLIC
  4. Click Ok
  5. The browser displayed error:
Internal error (WWC-00006)
Unable to execute function:
PORTAL.wwv_utlbuild.set_application('APP_1015073134') (WWV-15000)
User-Defined Exception (WWV-11230)
Unexpected error - User-Defined Exception (WWC-35000)
Portal DB Provider 1187922075 not exist (WWV-00444)
