Wrong Look and Feel Loaded After Upgrade From 8.1 To 10.3.2 (Doc ID 1287163.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 29, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle WebLogic Portal - Version 10.3.2 to 10.3.2 [Release AS10gR3]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In WebLogic Portal 8.1, the application had customized Look and Feel (LAF) resources and was working fine. The application upgrade using OEPE import option and deployment to a new WLP 10.3.2 domain were also successful.

When accessing the .portal, you may observe that the portal is loading Bighorn Look and Feel (LAF) resources instead of your custom Look and Feel (LAF). You may also notice that the property Look and Feel has set to custom Look and Feel (LAF) name.

Expected behavior is that custom Look and Feel (LAF) components are loaded, but even after upgrading the custom Look and Feel (LAF) using the steps mentioned in the following documentation Bighorn Look and Feel (LAF) resources are being displayed.

Changes

Recently upgraded the portal application from 8.1 to 10.3.2 version
