OID 11G On Windows - Adding New Entries Fails With LDAP Error Code 20 (Doc ID 1289277.1)

Symptoms

When trying to add a new entry in OID, it fails with:

LDAP error code 20 - Duplicate values specified for the attribute.

After the OID server is restarted the add operations are working correctly again for some time. Then the add operations start to fail again.

The OID log files shows the following error when adding a new entry:

If database sql trace is enabled, the ERR=1 error is reported in log file (notice also the orclguid value):

Changes

 Possibly, there were a large number of entries added to OID over time.
