The objective of this document is to provide step by step instructions as well as examples showing how to set up E-Mail Notifications for Oracle BPEL Process Manager, SOA Suite and Business Process Management Suite.


Prerequisite -Verify your E-Mail Server Settings:

Oracle BPEL Process Manager is not an E-Mail Server.  E-Mail Notifications from Oracle BPEL Process Manager are configured to interact with your existing E-Mail Server.  You will need to gather the following information prior to configuring your installation to use E-Mail Notifications.

  • OutgoingMailServer:
  • OutgoingMailServerPort:
  • OutgoingMailServerSecurity:
  • OutgoingDefaultFromAddress:
  • OutgoingUsername:
  • OutgoingPassword:

To process incoming emails: (Actionable Items)

  • IncomingMailServer:
  • IncomingMailServerPort:
  • IncomingUserIDs: The list of user names of the mail accounts from which the driver instance is polling.
  • IncomingMailIDs: The email addresses corresponding to the user names.
  • IncomingUserPasswords:
