Symptoms

The applications are WebServices deployed in OC4J 10.1.3.3 using JDBC 10.1.0.5 .
After a few minutes working properly, the following error is generated frequently in the OC4J logs, and the applications stop working:

11/01/07 14:50:01 FINE: InvocationWrapper.invoke Attempt to use an invalid handle : 'oracle_jdbc_driver_LogicalConnection_Proxy@1aee937'.java.sql.SQLException: Attempt to use an invalid handle : 'oracle_jdbc_driver_LogicalConnection_Proxy@1aee937'.

To recover,the applications need to be restarted.
