How To Migrate Non-Oracle Databases To Oracle With Case Sensitive Object Names Using SQL*Developer ? (Doc ID 1292434.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 05, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle SQL Developer - Version 2.1 to 3.0 [Release APEX 2.1 to 3]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Many non-Oracle databases are case sensitive for object names, for example MySQL and Microsoft SQL*Server.
When SQL*Developer Migration Workbench is used to migrate these databases the object names are generated in lower case , for example -

PROMPT Creating Table test_table ...
CREATE TABLE test_table (
col_char CHAR(1 CHAR) NOT NULL,
col_int NUMBER(10,0) NOT NULL,
col_varchar VARCHAR2(45 CHAR) NOT NULL,
col_text CLOB NOT NULL

but when this script is run in Oracle all the objects are created in upper case.

Is it possible to create the objects in Oracle with case sensitive names ?
