Goal
We are decommissioning the Net Installers provided with Oracle WebLogic Server releases 10.3.2, 10.3.1, 10.3. and all previous releases, Oracle WebLogic Portal 10.3.2 and all previous releases, Oracle WebLogic Integration 10.3.1 and all previous releases, and BEA WebLogic Platform 10.2 and all previous releases.
To better coordinate the distribution of patches to Oracle customers, we are planning to consolidate on My Oracle Support as the single source for patch delivery. After the Smart Update changes are complete, you will be able to access patches and patch sets whenever you need them from the My Oracle Support Patches & Updates site.
To this end, the WebLogic Net Installers and Smart Update patch and patch set download capability will be decommissioned on June 10, 2011.
There will be a planned outage from Friday, June 10, 2011 5:00 PM PDT to Saturday, June 11, 2011 6:00 AM PDT (13 hours) where Smart Update patches will be unavailable.
If you are planning maintenance or upgrade activities during the outage window, please ensure you have downloaded the necessary Smart Update patches, patch sets or upgrade installers prior to the start of the outage window.
After the decommissions:
- You can obtain the same installation results with existing WebLogic package installers. Please see Primary Note on WebLogic Server (WLS) Patches, Upgrade Installers, and Full Installers <Note 1075833.1> for more information.
- Patches and patch sets formerly available for download in Smart Update will be made available on My Oracle Support
- You should Log into My Oracle Support using the same account you used with Smart Update. Go to the Patches and Updates tab, then search for and download patches. Please see the MOS note "How to Locate and Download Patches for WebLogic Using MoS" <Note 1302053.1> for more information. NOTE: You can continue to use Smart Update to apply and remove patches.
