(Doc ID 1294297.1)

Applies to:

Oracle OpenSSO - Version: 8.0.2 and later   [Release: 8.0 and later ]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

The goal of this document is to demonstrate how to manually modify the values for OpenSSO LDAP Connection Pool using ssoadm as an alternative to OpenSSO Admin Console.

It is recommended that you have a working knowledge of the procedures documented in the OpenSSO Enterprise 8.0 Performance Tuning Guide >Tuning the LDAP Connection Pool and LDAP Configurations at:
http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E19681-01/820-3747/6nf8rbfni/index.html.

And that you are also restricted from using the recommended amtune or OpenSSO console.

I do not have OpenSSO console deployed and therefore I can only use ssoadm to modify the OpenSSO configuration. How do I use ssoadm cli option to modify the values of the below three tuning parameters?

#1 (Service Management) LDAP Connection Pool minimum and maximum connection pool.

- minConnPool
- maxConnPool

#2 LDAP Connection Pool in Global iPlanetAMAuthServiceiPlanetAMAuthService

- iplanet-am-auth-ldap-connection-pool-default-size

#3 Tuning logging buffer size in iPlanetAMLoggingServiceiPlanetAMLoggingService

- iplanet-am-logging-buffer-size
