HTC Behaviors Do Not Work on IE (Doc ID 1295365.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 09, 2023

Applies to:

BEA WebLogic Platform - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Apache HTTP Server Plug-In has been configured for WebLogic Server. But some MIME type, such as htc, can't be accessed normally.

Suppose, as an example: Apache uses port 7001, and WebLogic Server uses port 7003.

Also "ExampleAgentX.htc" is made up as example.  Any similarity to actual code, is purely coincidental and not intended in any other manner.

When accessing from WebLogic server directly (http://ip:7003/..../ExampleAgentX.htc), it runs well; but if using Apache as our proxy server (http://ip:7001/..../ExampleAgentX.htc), it doesn't work; we get a blank page.
