Kerberos Authentication Using Active Directory and Windows Native Cache Fails on Windows 7 / Windows Vista (Doc ID 1296359.1)

A JDBC program running on Windows 7 / Windows Vista client is unable to authenticate to the database using Windows Active Directory and Windows Native Cache.  The following error occurs

Error calling function Protocol status: 1312
A specified logon session does not exist. It may already have been terminated.
java.sql.SQLRecoverableException: IO Error: The service in process is not supported. Principal is Null

SQL*Plus clients on Windows 7 / Windows Vista do not have this problem.  Java clients on Windows XP clients do not have this problem either.
