Identity Synchronization For Windows (ISW) 6.0/6.0SP1 Fails To Install When Mpsadmserver Is Executed Returning Error: java.io.IOException: error=2, No such file or directory

Symptoms

Installing ISW 6.0 / ISW 6.0 SP1 can fail during the installation, when executing mpsadmserver, after following the recommended steps via the documentation for installing ISW.

The issue can be identified when looking in the ISW installation log as per the following example:

WPSInstallCDSTasks.executeCommandReturnOutput : EXCEPTION: Unable to exceute /var/Sun/isw/serverroot/sbin/mpsadmserver configure -id because Cannot run program "/var/Sun/isw/serverroot/sbin/mpsadmserver": java.io.IOException: error=2, No such file or directory
WPSInstallCDSTasks.executeCommandReturnOutput : DEBUG: java.io.IOException: Cannot run program "/var/Sun/isw/serverroot/sbin/mpsadmserver": java.io.IOException: error=2, No such file or directory at java.lang.ProcessBuilder.start(ProcessBuilder.java:460)



NOTE: The ISW installation log can be found under: /var/sadm/install/logs/

For example: /var/sadm/install/logs/Identity_Synchronization_for_Windows_install-2011*******.log
