OpenSSO Policy Agent 3.0 Fails when WOW64 is Enabled to Run 32-Bit Application (Doc ID 1298270.1)

Symptoms

After installing 64-Bit OpenSSO Policy Agent 3.0 on IIS server with WOW64 enabled, the application
pool stops whenever the website is accessed.

Error on Windows Events Application Logs:

 

The Module DLL 'C:\iis7_agent\bin\amiis7module.dll' could not be loaded due to a configuration problem.
The current configuration only supports loading images built for a x86 processor architecture. The data
field contains the error number. To learn more about this issue, including how to troubleshooting this

Changes

The problem occurs under the following conditions:

64-Bit OpenSSO Policy Agent 3.0 is installed on Window x64 OS.
WOW64 is enabled to run 32-bit application on IIS.

WOW64 is the x86 emulator that allows 32-bit Windows-based applications to run on 64-Bit Windows OS.
