WLS_REPORTS Managed Server Unexpectedly Going Down (Doc ID 1299146.1)

WLS_REPORTS managed server is unexpectedly going down causing Reports Servlet to be unavailable. If using in-process Reports Server then Reports server will be also unavailable.

Checking  DOMAIN_HOME/servers/WLS_REPORTS/logs/WLS_REPORTS.out shows the following information.

<28-Jan-2011 18:45:01 o'clock GMT> <Notice> <WebLogicServer> <BEA-000388> <JVM called WLS shutdown hook. The server will force shutdown now>
<28-Jan-2011 18:45:01 o'clock GMT> <Alert> <WebLogicServer> <BEA-000396> <Server shutdown has been requested by <WLS Kernel>>
<28-Jan-2011 18:45:01 o'clock GMT> <Notice> <WebLogicServer> <BEA-000365> <Server state changed to FORCE_SUSPENDING>

** It is important to review also previous WLS_REPORTS.out files as this files are recycled by default so you will see files called like WLS_REPORTS.out00019
as an example
