Last updated on MAY 09, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Warehouse Builder - Version 10.2.0.1 to 11.2.0.2 [Release 10.2 to 11.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The UPDATED_ON column of the all_iv_firstclass_objects table is not updated with the correct value when a mapping is modified and re-deployed.

Example:

Connect to the OWB Design Center using the Repository Owner
Create a new mapping and deploy it
Connect to SQLPLUS using the Repository Owner and execute the command:

SQL> select OBJECT_NAME,UPDATED_ON,CREATED_ON ,UPDATED_BY,CREATED_BY
     from all_iv_firstclass_objects
     where object_name ='<MAPNAME>';

Note: the mapping name must be written in UPPER case

The result is:

OBJECT_NAME   UPDATED_ON     CREATED_ON   UPDATED_BY      CREATED_BY
------------- -------------- ------------ --------------- --------------------
MAP1          24-JAN-11      24-JAN-11    OWB10205        OWB10205

Reconnect to the Design Center on a different day (31-JAN-11 here)
Make any changes in the mapping and re-deploy it
Connect to SQLPLUS and re-execute the command:

SQL> select OBJECT_NAME,UPDATED_ON,CREATED_ON ,UPDATED_BY,CREATED_BY
from all_iv_firstclass_objects
where object_name ='<MAPNAME>';

The result is:

OBJECT_NAME   UPDATED_ON     CREATED_ON   UPDATED_BY     CREATED_BY
------------- -------------- ------------ -------------- --------------------
MAP1          24-JAN-11      24-JAN-11    OWB10205       OWB10205USER

Note that the UPDATED_ON column is not updated correctly.
It should be 31-JAN-11 instead of 24-JAN-11.
