Is a full Collection Rebuild Required when going from Fulltext Indexing like DATABASE.FULLTEXT or OracleTextSearch to DATABASE.METADATA?
(Doc ID 1300790.1)
Last updated on NOVEMBER 14, 2022
Applies to:
Oracle WebCenter Content - Version 11.1.1.6.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
Webcenter Content 11g and 12c.
As some WCC content repositories are getting very large (in the 10s and 100 millions), it may no longer be practical to keep and maintain an Oracle text index.
The alternative is to switch from OracleTextSearch or DATABASE.FULLTEXT to DATABASE.METADATA.
Once the change to the config.cfg file has been made and the WCC restarted, is a full collection rebuild required for DATABASE.METADATA?
