Symptoms

In an ADF application deployed on top of WebCenter 11.1.1.3, modification of the URL parameter _afrLoop to include a non-numerica character, can result in continuous reloads of the page within the Internet Browser. While reloading, the value for the URL parameter _afrLoop is increased as well :

An example of a good URL would be :

http://www.acme.org/acmeApp/faces/Home.jspx?_afrLoop=2917563720327333&_afrWindowMode=0&_adf.ctrl-state=17u99bpkb9_47

An example of a bad URL would be :

http://www.acme.org/acmeApp/faces/Home.jspx?_afrLoop=2917563720327333'&_afrWindowMode=0&_adf.ctrl-state=17u99bpkb9_47

(notice the extra quote sign behind the numeric value for _afrLoop)

The issue is reproducible both when the application is tested within JDeveloper 11.1.1.3 as well as when it is deployed in Oracle WebCenter 11.1.1.3. The problem does not reproduce with JDeveloper 11.1.1.4 or Oracle WebCenter 11.1.1.4.
