Cache Server Hangs with Sun JVM Hotspot Client Edition (Doc ID 1301986.1)

Symptoms

On SPARC Solaris with Sun JVM Hotspot client edition (-client) a cache server starts hanging after 20 to 30 seconds of normal operation.

A thread dump taken from the hang cache server shows a thread stack trace like this:
