Oracle iPlanet Web Server 6.1 Fails To Start In Solaris 9 Branded Zone (Doc ID 1302505.1)

Symptoms

When trying to start Web Server 6.1 from a Solaris 9 branded zone, the following error is thrown and the start fails:

# /opt/SUNWwbsvr/https-<server-name>/start

   Run-time exception error; current exception: xalloc
       No handler for exception.
   Run-time exception error; current exception: xalloc
       No handler for exception.
   Run-time exception error; current exception: xalloc
       No handler for exception.
   /opt/SUNWwbsvr/https-<server-name>/start: test: unknown operator SunOS
