OWB 11.2 Shows Poor Performance On Mapping Validation / Generation / Deployment (Doc ID 1303177.1)

Symptoms

Poor performance of mapping Validation and Generation in the following setups:

1. OWB 11.2.0.1 + Cumulative <Patch 10270220>: 11.2.0.1 MEGA_PATCH V2 : (MERGE) PSE ON TOP OF 11.2.0.1 FOR BUGS

The performance issue does not occur in OWB 11.2.0.1 without the cumulative patch.



2. OWB 11.2.0.2 and later versions


when pressing CTRL-BREAK during the generation or validation process, the code hanging at this point:


The performance issue occurs when the Hostname of Source and Target Locations have an IP address.


Note that this issue also impacts deployment performance, since Validation and Generation are part of the deployment process.

 

 

Changes

1. Cumulative patch 10270220 applied on top of OWB 11.2.0.1

or

2. OWB upgraded to OWB 11.2.0.2 or later version.
