Master Detail Portlet Errors - 'oracle.jbo.uicli.binding.MyIteratorBinding' In Java Stack

Symptoms
This problem can occur with some Master Detail applications.
If you run an application with a Master Detail relation it works
fine standalone.
If the application has portlets , you will get a 'Portlet unavailable' and stack overflow error
when clicking on one of the links in the 'Master Portlet' related to the details.
