ODI HFM Data Extraction Fails when "Loading - SS_0 - Extract HFM Data" (Doc ID 1304071.1)

Symptoms

When extracting data from an HFM application via ODI when using MS SQL as the staging area the following error is seen in the ODI Operator:
org.apache.bsf.BSFException: exception from Jython:
Traceback (innermost last):
File "<string>", line 1, in ?
com.hyperion.odi.common.ODIHAppException: Arithmetic overflow error converting float to data type numeric.


If an Oracle database is being used as a staging area then the following error is seen in the ODI Operator:
org.apache.bsf.BSFException: exception from Jython:
Traceback (innermost last):
File "<string>", line 1, in ?
com.hyperion.odi.common.ODIHAppException: ORA-01438: value larger than specified precision allowed for this column


If the Sunopsis Memory Engine is being used as the staging area though then the load will complete without errors.
