Goal

1. Ways of having incoming connections authenticated
From the UCM CIS documentation (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/doc.1111/e10608.pdf), we find that the only way of having authentication with CIS is by using web transfer, as opposed to sockets and/or mapped transfer.

Is the above correct, or do the socket and mapped transfer also support authentication? (not by using the "trusted computers" feature).

2. How to encrypt the "contentServerAdminPassword" property in adapterconfig.xml?
The documentation states that this property is "The content server administrator password to use to authenticate against the content server. This password is encrypted."
However, no indication is given as to how this password would/should get encrypted. Since we deploy adapterconfig.xml in our war file, we will have to do this encryption ourselves. Therefore, we need to know how to achieve this.
