Symptoms

Unable to connect to Oracle RAC database from Java CAPS Repository based components, using the Oracle adapter. The following is the exception thrown in the server.log file during runtime:

Caused by: com.stc.connector.appconn.common.ApplicationConnectionException: ORACLEADPTR-0051: Unable to get connection from OracleApplicationConnectionFactory
 at com.stc.connector.oracleadapter.appconn.OracleApplicationConnectionFactory.getConnection(OracleApplicationConnectionFactory.java:70)
 at com.stc.oracle.runtime.ejb.OracleEWayRuntimeHandler.initializeService(OracleEWayRuntimeHandler.java:256)

Caused by: java.sql.SQLException: ORACLEADPTR-0042: Failed opening a database session: java.sql.SQLException: Error in allocating a connection. Cause: Connection could not be allocated because: Invalid Oracle URL specified: OracleDataSource.makeURL
