Goal

The WYSIWYG HTML editor in WebLogic Portal (WLP) Content Management System (CMS) is PinEdit.  One of PinEdit's features is to automatically handle special characters by converting unencoded strings pasted into the HTML editor to their expected format. 

There may be situations that call for modifying the rules governing this conversion process.  This article describes the process by which you can modify how PinEdit converts special characters.
