Portal 11g Configuration Problem With SSL Reverse Proxy

After configuring Portal 11G with a external SSL reverse proxy as described in the documentation below, the Portal Welcome page displays some errors on SSO requests.
The error displayed is the following:
Notice the port number in the URL highlighted.
