SOA 11g Tasks with NULL User Name/Role Name Completes Automatically Without Fault (Doc ID 1315354.1)

Last updated on APRIL 23, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle SOA Suite - Version 11.1.1.1.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

While using WorkList
1. When there is no role assigned, i.e. an empty string "", the Workflow component goes ahead and completes successfully using the "workflowsystemworkflowsystem" user.
The expected behavior is to go into "Recovery Needed".

When there is a non-existent role assigned, the Workflow component faults and that workflow component ends up going to "Recovery Needed".
These two use cases should behave identical.

2. When Error Assignee has been specified for a HumanTask it should be used in every case an assignment error happened.
However if the assignment is null or empty the HumanTask gets automatically completed.
