Requests to Web Cache Configured for SSL Hang As Web Cache Crashes (Doc ID 1315607.1)

Symptoms

When configured to terminate SSL at Web Cache, requests hang as Web Cache hangs within four hours of a restart.

The crash with SIGTERM only happens if the auto-restart ping is enabled.

After the crash Since Web Cache has problems to ping it's own test pages, the failover threshold is passed and it restarts the instance.

Verified in the event_log which shows cycles with a SIGTERM like the following snippet:
