How to Configure OpenLDAP with Webcenter Content Server 11g (Doc ID 1317953.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 07, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Content - Version 11.1.1.3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

The goal of this document is to explain how to configure Webcenter Content server (WCC) 11g with OpenLDAP to create a single-sign-on (SSO) solution. This document assumes that OpenLDAP, WebLogic Server (WLS) and WCC 11g are already installed.

Oracle provides several single sign-on solutions. Oracle Access Manager (OAM) is the recommended single sign-on (SSO) solution for Oracle Fusion Middleware enterprise-class installations including WebCenter Content. OAM is part of Oracle's suite of enterprise-class products for identity management and security. For more information, see "Choosing the Right SSO Solution for Your Deployment" in Oracle Fusion Middleware Application Security Guide If OSSO is already in place as the enterprise solution for your existing Oracle deployment, Oracle Fusion Middleware continues to support the existing OSSO as a solution. However, Oracle recommends that you consider upgrading to OAM 11g Single Sign-On solution.
