Goal
Oracle Secure Enterprise Search (SES) 11g can now be used as the integrated search collection for Universal Content Management (UCM) 10gR3. A restricted-use license of SES is now included in UCM 10gR3.
Note: This is a restricted-use license. SES is to be installed and run on the same processor(s) that run the content management repository (Content Server) and may be used to index and search the local instance of the content management repository. Federation to external servers or other data resources is not permitted in this restricted-use license. A full use license must be purchased for this use case, and the SES Crawler component is still available for this case.
Note: SES 11g must be used. SES 10g will not work for this integration.
This note documents the necessary steps to integrate SES 11g with UCM 10gR3.
