WebLogic Server (WLS) 10.0MP1 - java.rmi.UnmarshalException Caused By Java.io.OptionalDataException (Doc ID 1318488.1)

Symptoms

Frontend and backend servers are both deployed on WebLogic Server 10.0 MP1
The frontend application hosts EJB 2.0 stubs. The EJB skeletons are located on the backend servers.

At high load, some java.rmi.UnmarshalException messages are logged:

java.rmi.UnmarshalException: error unmarshalling arguments; nested exception is:
java.io.OptionalDataException
