Symptoms

Customer gets an error when trying to connect Netbeans to the repository.  When trying to connect from a browser (http://<hostname>:<port>), the following is displayed in the browser:

This user id does not have the appropriate privileges to carry out the requested operation. Please login under a different user id or contact your System Administrator.

The repository.log file (with default logging level) logs this:

09:15:09 INFO [Thread-7] - Error authenticating admin; please verify your login ID and password.

Changes

Added a new <Realm> definition to the server.xml file to configure the repository to use Active Directory for user authentication, as described in the CAPS documentation.
