OVD 10g Sun/EUS Integration - Unable To Create ACL For The Authpassword Attribute / Authpassword Not Shown In OVD Manager (Doc ID 1319664.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 29, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Virtual Directory - Version 10.1.4.3.0 to 10.1.4.3 [Release 10gR3]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Following Oracle Virtual Directory (OVD) 10g (10.1.4.3) documentation:

Oracle Virtual Directory Product Manual Release 10g (10.1.4.3.0) E12283-01
Chapter 7 Integrating with Oracle's Enterprise User Security
Topic Integrating for Use with Sun Java System Directory Server
Subtopic Configuring Oracle Virtual Directory for the Integration

Towards bottom of Step 6.b. (Create the following ACLs by referring to "Access Control Configuration"), unable to create the ACL for the authpassword attribute.

Trying to create the ACL to apply to specific attribute selection on the Oracle Virtual Directory Manager (OVDM) wizard, the authpassword attribute cannot be found.  The authpassword attribute is not listed / shown in the Available Attributes window nor viewable within the Schema View.

However, if using a 3rd party LDAP browser tool to view the schema, the attribute does exist within the OVD schema.

Tried adding the <OVD_home>/conf/schema.oracle.xml file to the listing of available schema files under the General Settings and within the Server > Schema > Files section. Also restarted the VDE server and OVDManager, but same problem continues.
