Why is Deployment via WLST Different from Deployment via the WebLogic Server Admin Console? (Doc ID 1320960.1)

Goal

Application files are put into a different directory when we deploy them by WLST than when we deploy them by the admin console. Why? Could app files be put in the same folder whether we deploy via WLST or via the console?
