OVD Plug-In Not Releasing LDAP Connections (Doc ID 1322262.1)

Symptoms

An Oracle Virtual Directory ( OVD ) Bind Plug-In is used to apply business logic based on attribute values of an entry.
The Bind Plug-In uses the method "chain.getVSI().get()" to obtain the LDAP attributes of the user entry.

OVD throws the following error message, if the number of calls to the Bind Plug-In reaches the "Max. Pool Connection" setting of the OVD Adapter :

Error message:

"ldap_bind: additional info: LDAP Error 1 : No LDAP connection available to
process request for DN"


The next execution of the Bind Plug-In is successful again.
