Tuxedo DDR Returns TPETIMEOUT Instead Of TPESYSTEM When Remote Domain Unavailable (Doc ID 1323350.1)

Last updated on JUNE 15, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Tuxedo - Version 9.1 to 10.0
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Your /TDOMAIN configuration uses data dependent routing to route requests to different domains. It uses CONNECTION_POLICY=ON_STARTUP and domain failover.

When a remote gateway shuts down, any service requests sent to that domain name will hang until TPETIMEOUT, even if the gateway connection is re-established.

Changes

The problem can occur on Tuxedo 9.1 with rolling patch level RP021 or later, on Tuxedo 10.0 GA, or on any Tuxedo 10.0 rolling patch level.
