How to Check in a Microsoft Office File that has Been Password Protected so that it does not go to the Inbound Refinery for Conversion (Doc ID 1324452.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 16, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Content - Version 10.1.3.5.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

When checking in an MSOffice file that is password protected it fails to convert and the following error occurs:

Step MSOfficeToPostscript forced conversion failure by conversion engine because of error: 'Step was timed out by Inbound Refinery.'.
Inbound Refinery failed to convert the content item but released it to the web by copying the native file.

Changing the inbound refinery so that failed conversions passthru allows the file to be passed thru, but the error still shows up.

1) Is there any way we can disable that error from showing up for password protected file?
2) Is there any way we can allow password protected files to completely bypass the IBR?
