Symptoms


EJBs based application works fine on 9ias 9.0.4 is migrated to OracleAS 10.1.3.5.
When trying to access one of the deployed EJB the login fails with the error below:

Connection parameters
Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY=oracle.j2ee.rmi.RMIInitialContextFactory
Context.PROVIDER_URL=opmn:ormi://host:port:oc4jInst/EJBs
Context.SECURITY_PRINCIPAL=user
Context.SECURITY_CREDENTIALS=password

Error
javax.naming.NamingException: Lookup error: javax.naming.AuthenticationException: Not authorized; nested exception is:
javax.naming.AuthenticationException: Not authorized [Root exception is javax.naming.AuthenticationException: Not authorized]
  at com.evermind.server.rmi.RMIClientContext.lookup(RMIClientContext.java:72)
  at javax.naming.InitialContext.lookup(InitialContext.java:392)
  ...
