Symptoms

Side-by-side deployment is used to deploy a new version of an application while the older version is still actively serving clients. See http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E21764_01/web.1111/e13702/redeploy.htm#i1023104 for more details. Customer is seeing the following error when deploying the application (EAR file) side-by-side:
