Goal
How To Deploy Manual and GUI Configuration Changes in Oracle iPlanet Web Server 6.1 SPx.
When configuration changes have been made to the Web Server, these changes need to be deployed by the Admin Server. This is done to ensure that the 'backup' copy of the configuration files in the instance's 'conf_bk' directory matches the configuration files used by the Web Server instance.
These configuration changes can be made via one of the following methods:
- Admin Web GUI Interface
- Manually editing the configuration files
Note: It is not recommended to make configuration changes via the GUI at the same time as changes are made via manual edits on the configuration files. Deploy the changes made via one method before using a different method.
The changes can be deployed using the Admin Web GUI Interface.
