Oracle SSO Login or Logout Generates Error 404 Not Found After Installing Patchset (Doc ID 1327215.1)

Symptoms


Oracle Single Sign-On (SSO) login and/or logout is failing after installing an Application Server or Identity Management software patchset, for example 10.1.2.3 or 10.1.4.3.

When the login or logout link is clicked error 404 Not Found or HTTP-404 Page Can Not Be Displayed occurs with (depending on browser settings) additional error java.io.FileNotFoundException.

The URL in the browser address bar when the error occurs refers to a custom SSO login or logout page.

OSSO login / logout using the custom page was working before the patchset was installed.


Steps to reproduce

1. Access https://ssohostname.domain:port/oiddas
2. Click the Login link.
3. The following error is displayed:

404 Not Found

OracleJSP: java.io.FileNotFoundException


Or for failing logout:

1. Access https://ssohostname.domain:port/oiddas
2. Click the Login link and login with valid credentials.
3. Click the Logout link: HTTP-404 Not Found occurs.
