Oracle SSO Login or Logout Generates Error 404 Not Found After Installing Patchset

Oracle Single Sign-On (SSO) login and/or logout is failing after installing an Application Server or Identity Management software patchset, for example or

When the login or logout link is clicked error 404 Not Found or HTTP-404 Page Can Not Be Displayed occurs with (depending on browser settings) additional error

The URL in the browser address bar when the error occurs refers to a custom SSO login or logout page.

OSSO login / logout using the custom page was working before the patchset was installed.

Steps to reproduce

1. Access https://ssohostname.domain:port/oiddas
2. Click the Login link.
3. The following error is displayed:

404 Not Found


Or for failing logout:

1. Access https://ssohostname.domain:port/oiddas
2. Click the Login link and login with valid credentials.
3. Click the Logout link: HTTP-404 Not Found occurs.
