How To Configure WebTier / Oracle HTTP Server (OHS) With OBIEE 11g (Doc ID 1327444.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 19, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle HTTP Server - Version to [Release Oracle11g]
Business Intelligence Suite Enterprise Edition - Version to [Release 11g]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

This document describes the steps necessary to configure Oracle HTTP Server  (OHS) with Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) 11g.

You may be installing Oracle WebTier (Oracle HTTP Server) to reside "in front of" OBIEE 11g due to the Oracle Fusion Middleware Enterprise Deployment Guide reference architecture recommendation, Oracle Fusion Middleware High Availability Guide 11g or a recommendation (such as, caching and compression) from Oracle Support, Development or Consulting.

This document is intended for OBIEE 11g, HTTP Server and System Administrators. One should have a basic understanding of installing Oracle FMw 11g products, understanding and reading the documentation and navigating within their operating system.

Note:  This is a workaround/example  for non-production environments.   The supported architecture / topology for environments is to have the "web tier" / HTT Server tier on separate machines/tiers as documented in the Enterprise Deployment Guide (Section 2.1.1, "Reference Topologies Documented in the Guide" ) and the System Administration Guide ( 6.1 About Oracle Business Intelligence Components in a Clustered Environment ).
